When it comes to protecting your kids from ultraviolet radiation, the need to choose the right sunscreens and the right activities for your kids has become more important than ever. While some children are only exposed to ultraviolet radiation a few times a week, other kids are exposed to uv radiation a majority of the time. Parents have to take into consideration the activities that their kids are involved in as well as the different uv radiation sources to which their child might be exposed. While many children are not exposed to much ultraviolet radiation and fluorescence lighting, other children are outside during the hours of the day during which sun exposure is the most dangerous. Children who play or do other things outside in the middle of the day should be well protected against the sun’s rays.

While uv lighting is often mentioned in terms of protecting humans from the negative health effects of uv radiation, there are also reasons for which the planet as a whole should be protected from uv rays. While people can wear sunscreen and protective clothing, the Earth does not exactly have safety steps for uv radiation! As the ozone layer disappears and the Earth becomes more and more vulnerable, it will become even clearer to most people why the Earth is in such grave danger from global warming.
While humans can not do much to change the cause of ultraviolet radiation, people can help to make sure that the types and sources of uv radiation do not multiply and make the problem worse than it already is. While the sun is the first thing to come to mind, it is also a good idea to know what sources of uv radiation exist beyond the sun.
